Canada Winter Games 2011 in Halifax, Nova Scotia Feb 11-27 Congratulations to Team Koltun (Sarah Koltun, Linea Eby, Jenna Duncan, and Patti Wallingham), accompanied by coach Lindsay Moldowan, who finished in fifth place at the Canada Winter Games. Way to go, Team Koltun!
2011 Senior Ladies' NWT/YT Championships, February 17-20, Yellowknife Congratulations to Team Yeulet (Arlene Yeulet, Cindy Birnie, Marg White and Darlene Hutton) who took part in the Senior Ladies' NWT/YT Championships, and finished in second place with a 4-win and 2-loss record.
2011 Senior Men's NWT/YT Championships, February 17-20, Yellowknife Congratulations to Team Hilderman (Gord Zealand, Dale Enzenaur, Pat Molloy and George Hilderman) who won the Senior Men's NWT/YT Championships. They will represent the Yukon and Northwest Territories at the Canadian Senior Mens’ Curling Championships in Digby, N.S., March 19-26, 2011. Congratulations also to Team Yeulet (John Yeulet, Herb Balsam, Lorne Diakow and Bob Walker) who participated in this event.
2011 Men's NWT/YT Curling Championship, February 10-13, Yellowknife The Yukon was well represented by Team Solberg and Team Yeulet, who were great ambassadors for the Yukon! Congratulations to Team Koe (NWT) who will represent the Yukon and NWT at the Brier in London, ON, March 5-13, 2011.
Junior National Curling Championships standings Team Koltun and Team Scoffin have completed the round robin games at the M & M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Calgary. Team Koltun finished at 6 wins and 6 losses, with wins over BC, NL, NT, ON, QC and N.S. Team Scoffin finished with 5 wins and 7 losses, with wins over AB, BC, QC, PE, and NS. The top three teams advance to the semi finals and finals on February 5 and 6. Both teams placed 8th out of 13 team field. Congratulations and thanks for being great ambassadors for Yukon.
2011 International Children's Games - Kelowna Congratulations to the two Whitehorse teams that participated in the Games last week: the girls finished in second place to bring home silver, while the boys finished fifth. Impressive results for these teams in their first international competition!
Scotties 2011 YT/NWT playdowns The women played off this weekend, Jan 27-30 at the Whitehorse Curling Club. Congratulations to Team Galusha (NWT) who will be representing both the Yukon and the NWT at the Scotties in Charlottetown in Feb. See our Results page for line scores and this weekends results.
Yukon Senior Men's Championships are complete Team Yeulet defeated Team Hilderman in the first two of the best of three competition at the Whitehorse Curling Club. Both teams will be advancing to compete in Yellowknife at the Y/NWT Senior Mens Curling Championships in February.

Junior National Curling Championships in Calgary, Alberta Jan 29 - Feb 5, 2011
The Yukon will be represented by Team Koltun (Sarah Koltun, Chelsea Duncan, Linea Eby, Jenna Duncan) in female division and by Team Scoffin (Thomas Scoffin, Josh Burns, Mitch Young, Will Mahoney) in the male division.
Sport Yukon's Team of the Year for 2010 was Team Koltun (Sarah Koltun, Chelsea Duncan, Linea Eby, Jenna Duncan). This Junior team won the Gold Ulu at the 2010 AWG's and also won Gold at the Optimist International Under 17 Championships in Regina in April.
Dominion Championships in PEI, November 2010:
Yukon Ladies represented by the team from Whitehorse Curling club, skipped by Nicole Baldwin, won two games and had many other close matches. Yukon Men represented by the team from Watson Lake, skipped by Dave Kalles, were great ambassadors for the Territory.
